Many Young Hitters Are Letting Meatball Fastballs Go By For Easy Strikes For One Big Reason

Many young hitters let meatball fastballs go by for easy strikes for one big reason;  They are not picking the ball up early enough out of the pitcher’s hand.

When the hitter does not pick the ball up early enough then the hitter does not have enough time to make the decision to swing.

This results in late swings, taking meatball fastballs right down the middle, and chasing pitches out of the zone.

Here’s a visual example of what I’m talking about.

In this visual you can that most young hitters start to evaluate the pitch after the point at which they should have already decided that they are going to swing or not.

Evaluating the pitch (or seeing the ball) is a critical and an often overlooked skill that many young hitters do not learn properly.

The goal is to teach your hitters a specific method to pick the ball up right as the ball is released from the pitcher’s hand.

The earlier the hitter picks up the ball from the pitchers hand then the longer the hitter has to recognize and evaluate the pitch that is moving towards the plate.

The hitter who picks the ball up too late does not stand a chance.

Training Your Hitters To Pick The Ball Up As Early As Possible

Seeing the ball correctly is 10x more important than any mechanic that the hitter can learn.  If the hitter can’t see the ball properly then it doesn’t matter how perfect their mechanics are.

I teach hitters to a very specific method that trains them to pick the ball up directly out of the pitcher’s hand.

When the hitter masters this method they immediately see the ball earlier out of the pitcher’s hand which allows the hitter to take better swings and have better results.

Better results means happier hitters.  There’s no better feeling than watching a hitter have success in the box knowing that you helped them get there… especially if it’s your own child.

The Method You Should Be Using To Pick The Ball Up As Early As Humanly Possible

The method I teach hitters is what I call “The Reactionary Method.”

The key to this method is capitalizing on the way that our eyes naturally work and training them to naturally focus & react to the release point of the pitcher.

This prevents the hitter from thinking and puts them in a reactionary state which is ideal for performance on the field.

Imagine your hitters eyes being trained to automatically pick the ball up out of the pitcher’s hand with a technique so easy that an 8 year old can understand how to do this.

I teach you this method inside The Hitter’s Cheat Sheet Program which has already helped thousands of parents, coaches, and players discover how to pick the ball up as soon as possible.
